The neighborhood’s heart lies in Washington Square Park, where people mingle and relax. There are a lot of young people in the area since NYU campuses are all around.

Tortaria is a small Mexican joint located between Washington Square Park and Union Square. Their burritos are delicious and I can’t get enough of their chipotle sauce. It’s colorful and cozy, and easy on the wallet as well. They’re also known for their tasty margaritas and endless tequila selection.
